Round 6 of the Mini-Z series took place on June 3rd. The track layout was pretty technical and provided some very close qualifying. Bevo, Lugs and Steve all qualified within 6 seconds of each other making for the closest qualifying round of the year. In the race, Travis got out to an early lead and avoided the carnage that ensued behind to take the win. At some point in the first 6 minutes of the race, every other racer on the track held 2nd place. In the middle portion of the race, Steve found his groove and took control of second. Bevo and Lugs battled it out for 3rd until Lugs ran into a few issues resulting in his car being on its' lid. Toby ran really well in his first race with his new chassis, picking up nearly 2 seconds a lap over his old car.
The track at Timmy's has been built and rained upon. Now we just need it to dry out and do a little finish work then the track will be ready for racing. Hopefully the first run day is nearly upon us!
